I just finished an amazing, but very challenging week at Bonnie Gordon College in a four day intensive chocolate decorating class. I've never tempered so much chocolate in my entire life! The cake above was my final project. The cake is covered in sky blue fondant, with the leaves and vines painted with chocolate paint. The birds are carved out of coloured white chocolate, and the tree on top is piped with dark chocolate. This cake is appropriately named "Put A Bird On It!" after this hilarious skit on Portlandia.
