A Special Wedding Cake

I have recently started creating wedding cakes, and I wanted to share one in particular. I prepared this wedding cake for my brother, Christopher, and his bride, Heather. It was a Lemon Butter Cake with Local Raspberry Preserves filling and Vanilla Buttercream. Heather chose the Gerbera Daisy arrangement for the cake topper.
The wedding was simple and lovely. The ceremony was held at our family home, and they were married under an arbour that Christopher built for the occasion (you can see it in the photo above). I was honoured that Christopher and Heather asked me to contribute to this special day. The whole weekend was spent with friends and family so I'm happy I made a cake large enough for dessert on the following night too!
